“The Lord has perfectly positioned me in a place where I have the ability to be a bridge between the federal government and state government.”
—
Shannon Grove, California State Senator Minority Leader

California pastors have been blessed to have California State Senator Shannon Grove (Bakersfield) to be a key conduit between The United States Congress (The House of Representatives and the Senate), the California Legislature (The Governor and the Senate) and Church United! She is the minority leader in the California State Senate. Her heart is for prayer and Jesus!

Senator Grove has spoken to California pastors at Awakening Tours in Sacramento and Washington, D.C. She has also been featured on Church United live video conference calls these past four weeks. Her role has been vital by providing critical information to pastors, even before the government or media has been able to do so. This has enabled Church United to lead ahead of the culture and quickly disseminate information to pastors in order to better equip and prepare the church in California.

Senator Grove has made it very clear that United States Senators Marco Rubio (Florida) and Tim Scott (South Carolina) made sure that the Paycheck Protection Program component in the CARES Act was applicable to churches so they would qualify. They also carved out protections for churches for the loan to grant forgiveness program.

Please continue to pray for Senator Grove and her staff, as they have made the faith community their priority and greatly helped the church in California! Thank you, Heavenly Father, for Shannon Grove and godly women like her!
