Metaxas, CBN, and #3 on Amazon!
Wow. What a whirlwind! I’m writing to you from New York, where I just taped a podcast with No. 1 New York Times bestseller Eric Metaxas. I met Eric during a Church United Regional Briefing event in San Jose, where he was the featured speaker. I gave him a copy of my book, “Not A Mistake, Parents' Hope for their Gay Son,” which he read on his flight home. Soon, he sent me an email.
“Jim, I have to have you on my show. It's called Miracle Mondays. Your story’s a miracle story. We have to tell more of these stories.”
So here I am and the interview we just recorded will air Monday, August 22.
It’s important to note this story is not about me. It’s about how God can move and transform. Despite persistent—and consistent—untrue claims by LGBT activists that change is impossible, God is exposing the lies by using my story of my personal transformation and the subsequent story of how Church United is rallying pastors to speak to culture. Every time I am able to share my story, whether from the pulpit, a pastors’ gathering, podcast, TV or other Christian media platforms, we are able to highlight God’s faithfulness as well as the great work of CU. As God blesses, His truth is being told.
The message is resonating.
After an interview on CBN’s 700 Club, book sales catapulted to No. 3 on Amazon’s gender and sexuality topics list and No. 4 in the Christian social issues’ category. Remarkably, “Not a Mistake” is in the top 1% of all books sold on their site. I’m continually astonished at how God has anointed this ministry.
Published by Vide Press, a division of The Christian Post, “Not a Mistake” has been translated into Spanish and we are already seeking a Spanish-language publisher for distribution in Central and South America. Additionally, we are pursuing translations in Portuguese, French, Italian, Chinese and other languages.
We would love for you to witness how God is working through Church United, here is a list of video links for you to view:
